The Hofheimer Building, nestled in the trendy Scott’s Addition community in Richmond, VA, invites you to be part of our diverse and dynamic lineup. Our historic yet modern space offers the perfect backdrop for unforgettable performances and we’re eager to collaborate with musicians across all genres.

With 3 floors and 4 spaces, the Hofheimer Building is currently accepting musician applications of all types - DJs, acoustic, jazz, country, blues, reggae, and more.

At this time due to demand and availability, the Hofheimer has a limited budget for musician performances. Although, as outlined below, we offer a range of benefits and opportunities to help emerging musicians to gain exposure and connect with new audiences.

ABOUT PERFORMING AT THE HOFHEIMER

Our space is designed to enhance your performance and create a memorable experience for both you and your audience. The venue’s intimate capacity ensures that every show feels personal and engaging. We offer flexibility in the decor, including lighting and sound capabilities, to create an unforgettable atmosphere where your music truly shines.

Diverse Audience
Richmond’s vibrant arts community and eclectic music scene provides an opportunity for you to perform for a diverse and enthusiastic crowd. Whether you’re a local artist or a touring act, our audience is eager to discover new sounds and experiences.

Venue Spaces
The Hofheimer Building is a 3-story ,14,000 square foot venue with 4 separate spaces, including Harry’s Restaurant (1st Floor with 75 capacity); Harry’s at Hofheimer Library (2nd Floor with 125 capacity); Hofheimer Loft (2nd Floor with 300 capacity); and Harry’s at Hofheimer Rooftop (3rd Floor with 150 capacity). Hofheimer Team
Upon booking with the Hofheimer, our musicians are connected with the Hofheimer Event Manager in which all logistical and planning details are coordinated with. In addition, all music performance events are staffed with the appropriate team of service professionals, including but not limited to bartenders, security, event support, and managers. Our team is committed to ensuring that your performance is successful and memorable.

Audio / Video / Visual Capabilities
Due to the complexity and size of the venue, as well as the customized approach requested by our musician performers, the Hofheimer Building offers limited in-house audio, video, and visual capabilities. Therefore, our musicians will need to provide their own solutions, including technical support. Local resources are available upon request as needed, including equipment, stages, and lighting.

Marketing + Promotion
The Hofheimer marketing team will help promote its musicians’ performances. This includes, but not limited to, Hofheimer website calendar, social media, email newsletter, and more. The musicians are expected to independently and jointly promote their performance event.

STEPS TO PERFORM AT THE HOFHEIMER

Musician Submission Form
Join our robust database of talented musicians to be considered for future performances. We look forward to reviewing your submission and potentially showcasing your talent at our venue.

Interest + Availability
Upon receiving your musician submission form entry above, the Hofheimer will distribute periodic notifications to its musicians requesting interest and availability to perform at the Hofheimer.

Hofheimer Performer Agreement
Beginning September 1, 2024, all Hofheimer performers will be required to complete and submit a new Hofheimer Performer Agreement which will be sent to performers directly. Logistical details such as arrival times, preparation, marketing, invoicing, and more are included in this agreement.

Performance Confirmation
For each individual performance booked between the musician and Hofheimer, a confirmation will be sent fro the Hofheimer Event Manager to the musician point of contact containing specific details and logistics.
